how to auto-start Krfb (Desktop Sharing) after login?
#1

i'm trying to manage a simple network with few computers in which i'm interested to use the feature Krfb - Desktop Sharing  ;)

however, it seems i can't connect to the remote computer without going there first or that computer then launch the Krfb - Desktop Sharing before i go back to my cubicle then remotely connect on it  :o

i tried to search posts or existing thread from these forum about auto-start but the more i read, seems the more i get confuse as i'm bombarded with information lol  :P

hoping you can assist or help me the step-by-step procedure on how to auto-start Krfb - Desktop Sharing  8)

I myself haven't used Krfb.. I've used Remmina - its in Lite Software or Synaptic.. Its more like Remote Desktop/VNC (it does not lock the screen like a RDP session)..
I've never had to start something on the remote system or "allow" like a remote assistance...

Works well with RDP too; Linux to Windows...

For auto-start may want to try:
Menu, Settings, Session and Startup, Application Autostart tab, click on the Add button.

I'm not in front of my system but that maybe be close :) ... If that's suitable for KRFB??

LL4.8 64 bit HP 6005- AMD Phenom II X2 - 8GB - AMD/ATI RS880 (HD4200)

hello firenice03  ;)

and thanks for sharing the info  :)

i have already installed Remmina but can you teach me how to enable it on the remote computer or it's automatically enable once it's included in autostart?  :-\

actually, i have also set krfb to be in autostart but still i need to manually launch it before i'm able to connect to the said computer  ???

likewise, i wonder what entry would i input in the COMMAND box for krfb in autostart as i suspect it's the reason it didn't automatically launch  :o

cheers!  :D
