That should not happen. It looks like the Lite 'branding' has not been applied to the login profiles of the new accounts.
What method do you use to create new users ?

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I am creating a new user from the Lite User Manager tool > Add New User.
I did notice when using this method, I am getting an error "It was not possible to add user "username". System message: "b".
However, clicking Ok the error is gone and I can open and use the newly created account.
I would like to thank you as I believe I have found a workaround. I created the account from the terminal using the sudo adduser command and the profile is starting with the Original Linux lite theme instead of the new one.
Should I avoid using the Lite User Manager tool for creating users?
Thanks.

Lite User Manager usually works well. The cryptic error message is almost certainly significant.
I have had the problem you describe once and I've seen a couple of other posts in the forum which may have referenced the symptom. I can't recall what the trigger was but it may well have related to username conventions. My guess is that the basic account gets created, but perhaps related to the error, the GUI settings get messed up.
Would you mind posting the username of the second account that gives you the problem so I can try to reproduce.
Thank you.

Hi Steve,
Any username I use within Lite User Manager gives me the same error. I tried 3 different names, then tried the same in terminal and no issues.
I used "student", "dave", and "test" as usernames I tested, no special characters, spaces and all lower case. I did see some forums about this being an error about special chars but i dont have any and did not have time to further explore that thread.
I made sure to sudo update and upgrade before trying all steps.
Let me know if you are able to reproduce the error if possible, just out of curiosity if its me or if its the linux lite build I downloaded.
Thanks again for steering me down the correct path! :)
